WEARABLE TECH TRENDING FOR 2022

According to ASCM’s annual Health & Fitness Journal worldwide survey, wearable technology, home exercise gyms and outdoor activities are predicted to shape the fitness industry in 2022.

The survey examines 4,500 health and fitness professionals around the world, highlighting the impact the pandemic has had on fitness moving forward. The list of top 20 trends include exercise for weight loss, group exercise training and more.

THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY GROWING STRONG

The beauty industry grew by 1.1% between January and December 2021.

According to the Local Data Company, who carried out the research, the increase was due to the number of micro-businesses that emerged during the pandemic, with nail salons increasing by 9.1% and beauty salons by 7.7%.

The research was commissioned by the British Beauty Council, who cited that the beauty industry provided health and wellbeing services that many sought-after to recover from the stresses of the pandemic.
