How to use Black Friday to your Advantage

Black Friday is the perfect time to lure in clients and boost your profits. With everyone hunting for the best deals in the run up to Christmas, it makes sense to get involved and use Black Friday to your advantage. Join us as we share five methods to do this and stand above the competition.

1: Targeted marketing

For Black Friday to be a success, you will first need to spread the word about your offers. Social media is particularly useful to get the message out there, as those following your page/s will already have some interest in your business and can respond instantly. Email marketing is also effective for those opted in, particularly if you first send out teasers to your offers to pique their interest two weeks prior.

2: Shift old stock

A great way to take advantage of Black Friday is to shift any lingering retail. This can be achieved in a variety of ways, such as bundling them together with a discount price, or promoting them separately with a big discount price. Make sure you regularly promote your retail through social media and neatly display them near your reception to attract deal-hunters.

3 Boost value-adding items

The Black Friday period is the ideal time to push related items with a purchase. If on-site, this can be additional products or services that complement the client’s purchase. This can also work online, such as a confirmation email stating “you may also like…”, showing related products that the client could be interested in.

4: Prepare for the New Year

With Black Friday so close to Christmas, plenty of people will be after gifts for their loved ones. You can capitalise on this with gift packages and gift cards to bring people back in the new year. A gift package that focuses on moisturising skin treatments, or gym usage for a set period, will be sought-after in the cold, post-Christmas period and make for the perfect gift to advertise during Black Friday.

5: Gift card sales

Whilst touched on in the previous point, Black Friday is perfect to push gift cards.
